Where Are We?
Giovanni’s
of Covent Garden
How To Find Us?
Walking through Goodwin’s court feels as though you have stepped back through centuries of time and arrived in a Dickensian novel. Beautiful bow-fronted windows with original gaslit lamps illuminate the passageway to Giovanni’s, a venture also taken by King Charles II to visit his mistress, Nell Gywn in the house next door.
In recent years it has been said to be the inspiration for Diagon Alley in Harry Potter and was used for a scene in Mary Poppins returns, plus many many other productions.
